The Harry Potter Tag

It may have taken me a while, but I am finally doing the Harry Potter tag and I am so excited! Thank you, Sammie at Bookshelves & Biros for tagging me, you should totally check out her amazing blog.

This tag was created by bookidote, along with the amazing graphics featured in the post. As quoted from their original post: “Important rule: you can’t use any of the HP books in the answer *smirk* MUAHAH”.

This is going to be tough, so let’s get started.

A BOOK YOU FOUND THE THEME INTERESTING, BUT YOU’D LIKE TO REWRITE IT.

8678711

I really like books where the female protagonist has been brought up thinking she is one thing, only to find out it was all a lie. So I had high hopes for the book Switched, sadly the writing just failed it.

THE FIRST BOOK IN A SERIES THAT GOT YOU HOOKED.

11235712

Cinder by Marissa Meyer, I just loved the concept of a fairytale retelling where the protagonist is a cyborg.

A BOOK YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE RIGHT NOW.

25494343

That would have to be Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare, the second book in the Dark Artifices series. Sadly, the book isn’t out until 2017, so I will just have to keep wishing for it. (That’s the cover of the first book, just so there was a picture. Consistency people).

A KILLER BOOK. BOTH SENSES. TAKE IT AS YOU LIKE.

11071466

I knew it was coming but it still hurt so much. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson.

A BOOK THAT YOU FOUND REALLY CONFUSING.

11181320

I was so excited to read Lauren Kate’s new book after the Fallen series, the Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove. Unfortunately, I finished the book and I just couldn’t understand how it ended. Why? How? What did I read?

YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL BOOK.

10345824

Mia, from the Princess Diaries. Who doesn’t relate to an awkward Princess?

A DARK TWISTED BOOK.

16096824

I picked A Court of Thorns and Roses because of spoilers. Don’t want to ruin the book for anyone.

A BOOK THAT SURPRISED YOU IN A GREAT WAY, REVEALS TO BE MORE THAN IT IS.

11466420

I was expecting, Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder to be  a simple people are downtrodden, and their is a hero with great ideas kind of story. I never expected how this book would actually turn out, but I loved it.

I really loved this tag, inspired by the spells from the Harry Potter world.
I am going to tag:

  1. Poppy at Poppy’s Best of Books
  2. Jess at Mud and Stars
  3. Daniela at Daniela’s Bookshelf

Thank you for the lovely shout out! 🙂 I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to read your post, It’s been a mad start to the month!

Ahhh I rate so many of your choices! I’m absolutely dying for Lord of Shadows too, I always think that I’ll wait for a while after the release and then read Cassandra Clare books so I don’t have to wait so long for the next installment but I can never help myself lol. Love that you picked The Princess Diaries as well, Mia has got to be one of the most relateable characters in YA in the last ten years! 🙂 x

Thanks for the tag Lauren! 🙂 Great answers! I love that Mia is your spirit animal – I relate to her so much, and will always love those books. And I know how you feel about waiting for Lord of Shadows – 2017 is toooo far away 😥

No problem, so glad you decided to do the tag. The was the question I was stuck 0n for longest, but my sister and I started to talk about books we had read and Princess Diaries came up. I think it’s one of the worse things about loving a book, waiting for the next one.
