I pick a book for the given theme of the week, and tell you why. Then we look at the covers for my chosen book. You can find the group on Goodreads here, where there is more info.
The theme this week is: Yesterday was International Children’s Day!! Choose a book you would read in your childhood if you could go back in time.
It took me a while to think of a book for this topic. I kept thinking of great children’s books that I had read as a child not as an adult. Finally I remembered I had the beautifully illustrated hardback edition of The Invention of Hugo Cabret sitting on my shelf.
This is an amazing book, that has beautifully illustrations and is the written form of a movie. I would have loved to read this book when I was little and marvel at all the pretty drawings.

LEAST FAVOURITE COVERS:
This is the version I own and it just has to be my favourite. It is simplistic and hints just enough to what the story might be about. Plus Paris looks lovely by moonlight.
This has been fun, I love doing Book Travelling Thursdays, its really interesting to see just how many editions of a book that is.
What was your favourite book as a very small child?
