Hype or Like Friday: The Love Triangle

My first hype or like ever, I am so excited to be doing this. I actually decided the join the goodreads group, because I won the book of the month from Jill at Rant and Rave About Books in her giveaway.

So the topic this week is: Juiciest Love Triangles

I don’t normally like love triangles, but there is one that broke my heart.

The love triangle between Will, Tessa and Jem was more than just the normal love triangle. This was mainly because it wasn’t just a girl in love with two boys, there was the added ache of the two boys loving each other.

Here is some fan art that I really liked with the three:

I found this image on google, and I can’t locate the artist, but if you know who it is let me know and I will update this post.

There can be a trap that authors fall into thinking that the easiest romantic plot line is to add a Love Triangle, but unless it furthers the story then there is no need for it. Why can’t the third guy be just a friend, why do they have to suddenly have feelings for each other?
The only reason I liked this love triangle is because they all fell into it, it wasn’t pushed on them. Jem and Will didn’t talk about their feelings for Tessa.

Well that brought back memories of reading the Infernal Devices. Next weeks topic is Diverse Books and my recommendations for some.

Talk Soon,
Darling Bear

I love what you did with the hype or like pictures in your header. I’ll admit I still haven’t read a Cassandra Clare novel. I only read about 10% of The Mortal Instruments before I stopped reading. For whatever reason, I just couldn’t get into the book at the time. It’s on my list to revisit at some point. I can’t believe I forgot to write my post for Hype or Like Friday. I forgot today was Friday. How sad? Anyway, nice post and I’m glad you decided to join the group.
