Alice returns to the magical world of Underland, only to find the Hatter in a horrible state. With the help of her friends, Alice must travel through time to save the Mad Hatter and Underland’s fate from the evil clutches of the Red Queen and a clock like creature, known as Time.

Alice QuoteReview

Let’s start by saying I was very confused when everybody kept referring to Wonderland as Underland. I did some googling and it turns out Alice misheard Underland as Wonderland when she was a child.

This sequel is yet again beautiful, I wish I could live in a place as colourful and vibrant. The plot has improved since Alice in Wonderland, and since there is time travel it also gives some back stories to the rest of the cast.

Johnny Depp was amazing again as the Mad Hatter, and I loved all the funny one liners he had.

Alice’s character definitely develops in the movie, and it s nice to see she is accepting her responsibilities as an adult, and at the same time remembering the principles of Wonderland (I refuse to call it Underland).

Overall, I really enjoyed this film and it is a must see if you have a child (or if you refuse to accept you no longer are one). So now for the ratings, I liked the film but I still had some problems with the plot and the White Queen annoys me.

3 Stars

I am hoping to go see Me Before You next week, and I also have an unlimited screening of Mother’s Day. So next weeks movie review post should include both these films.

Who is your favourite character from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland?
