Captain America: Civil War Book Tag Part 1

I saw this book tag a while ago and I planned on doing it, then Daniela tagged me. Coincidence, or what? I love Daniela’s blog and you should go check out her blog, Daniela’s Book Shelf. The creator of this tag is Jennifer at WonderlandReview.

I am doing this tag in two parts, team Captain America then team Iron Man. It’s taking me so long, and the post is already pretty big. So yeah, enjoy.

I am obsessed with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (it actually helped me win a Kindle, but that’s a different story). I also went to the triple bill showing of Captain America when Civil War was released, and I loved it so much. It has to be my favourite so far, mainly for the fact that I could not laughing or smiling the whole way through the movie.

Can we just take a moment to relive Spiderman throughout that entire fight scene? Okay, have you imagined it. Now we start the tag.

  • Thank the person who tagged you. – Once again, thank you, Cristina!
  • Tag anyone and everyone you want!

Disclaimer: Jennifer’s pretty sure about the actual teams for this movie but she could be wrong! You never know! Also, she’s very much Team Cap so this might be a little biased.

Team Captain America:

Captain America: Name a character who always does the right thing. (If you aren’t team Cap I guess you can change this to ‘a character who always thinks he does the right thing’).

Captain America the guy who always stands up to bullies no matter how small he might have been. I really liked the premise the he was picked to get the super serum because he would respect the heightened abilities.

I have always respected Neville Longbottom ever since the first book when he stands up to Harry and Hermione when they try to sneak out and it would cost Gryffindor precious house points.

Falcon: A loyal character.

I love Falcon, his introduction in Captain America: Winter Soldier was the best. “On your left”.

Ron Weasley, he is courageous and loyal. I would like to point out I pick book Ron, not movie Ron (there is a difference). Harry couldn’t have gone through all seven books without Ron, and just think how normal Ron’s life would have been if he had sat with another person on the train to Hogwarts.

Hawkeye: A character that is extremely good at something very specific (Like Hawkeye with his bow).

Ah Clint, many people don’t seem to like you for a reason. But I love you, and I always will. You do more than just fire a bow, Scarlet Witch would not be in the Avenger’s without you.

Valek is great at assassinating people. I loved him in Poison Study and his relationship with Yelena is amazing.

Ant-Man: A character that’s just happy to tag along.

How cute was he in Civil War? He acted just like I would if I ever got to meet Captain America.

Iko from the Lunar Chronicles is definitely a tag along, I mean she was a maid and she got to join a revolution for the sole reason that she was Cinder’s only friend.

Agent 13: A character you’re super nervous about (Jennifer is not going to say why, but she has reasons).

I don’t have much to say about Agent 13, she is not really a character I have had a chance o connect with. I will say she seems a strong female, so I like that in a superhero movie dominated by men.

If you haven’t read Lady Midnight this skip this section as it contain spoilers. You have been warned.

I could not believe how ruthless he was at the end of lady Midnight, all in the name of protecting his family. I am therefore super nervous about what he is capable of is the next two books.

Winter Soldier: A character with really great positive character growth.

Bucky Barnes did not have much luck, falling from a Hydra train to near death then being used as a killing puppet. I just want to walk over to him and give him a big hug.

So I can’t think of a character in a book I have read with this characteristic. But I do watch Once Upon A Time, and Regina has definitely had a great positive growth. I mean she used to be the Evil Queen. Also I love Once Upon a Time, and I would highly recommend it.

Scarlet Witch: A character that started out on the wrong side but ended up joining the team.

Scarlet Witch is another one I want to hug. Her back story is really interesting and I hope to pick up comic books which feature her ( I don’t know if she has her own series) really soon. I want more of her.

I can’t really think of an answer for this. I suppose Cam from the Fallen series, he is on Lucifer’s side at the start but from what I remember the lines kind of blur by the end of the series. (This is Harrison Gilbertson and he is playing Cam in the movie version of Fallen which is due to be released in Autumn of this year)

Bonus- Winter Soldier & Captain America: Two characters that have been friends for a long time.

There friendship was really sweet, and I loved watching them interact throuth the first Captain America movie.

Who else could I chose other than Clary and Simon from the Mortal Instruments. I can’t think of any other friendship that is as long or strong as theirs.

Well this is a very long post, just think how long it would have been if I had also include team Iron Man. I loved picking all the images for the book and marvel characters. It was so hard to only chose one picture for each one.

Can’t wait to do part 2 next week 🙂

Talk Soon,
Darling Bear
